민 4:1-49 　1) 주님께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하셨다. 　2) "레위 자손 가운데서 고핫 자손을 따로 구별하여, 가문별, 가족별로 인구를 조사하여라. 　3) 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 입대할 수 있는 이들로서, 회막 일을 맡을 수 있는 사람의 수를 조사하여라. 　4) 고핫 자손은 회막 안에서 가장 거룩한 물건을 보살피는 일을 맡아야 한다. 　5) 진을 이동할 때에는, 아론과 그의 아들들이 안으로 들어가서, 칸막이 휘장을 걷어내려, 그것으로 ①증거궤를 덮고, / ①또는 '법궤' 　6) 그 위에다 돌고래 가죽 덮개를 덮고, 또 그 위에다가는 순청색 보자기를 덮은 다음에 채를 꿴다. 　7) 다음에는 늘 차려 놓는 상 위에다가 청색 보자기를 펴고, 그 위에다 대접들과 종지들과 부어 드리는 제물을 담는 병과 잔들을 놓고, 늘 차려 놓는 빵도 그 위에 놓는다. 　8) 이것들은 진홍색 보자기로 덮고, 그 위에 다시 돌고래 가죽 덮개를 덮은 다음에 채를 꿴다. 　9) 그런 다음에는 청색 보자기를 가져다가, 불 켜는 등잔대와 등잔과 부집게와 불똥접시와, 그것들과 함께 쓰는 모든 기름그릇을 싸고, 　10) 그 등잔대와 거기에 딸린 모든 기구를 다시 돌고래 가죽 덮개로 덮어서, 들것 위에 얹는다. 　11) 다음에는 금제단 위에 청색 보자기를 깔고, 그 위에 돌고래 가죽 덮개를 덮은 다음에 채를 꿴다. 　12) 성소 예식에 쓰는 그 밖의 모든 기구는 청색 보자기로 싸고, 돌고래 가죽 덮개를 덮어 들것에 얹는다. 　13) 제단의 경우는 거기에 담긴 재를 모두 쳐내고, 그 위에 자주색 보자기를 깔고, 　14) 거기에다 예식에 쓰는 모든 기구, 곧 불 옮기는 그릇들과 고기를 집는 갈고리들과 부삽들과 쟁반 등 제단에 사용하는 모든 기구를 얹고, 돌고래 가죽 덮개로 덮은 다음에 채를 꿴다. 　15) 진 이동을 앞두고, 이렇게 아론과 그의 아들들이 ②거룩한 물건들과 그 물건에 딸린 모든 기구를 다 싸 놓으면, 비로소 고핫 자손이 와서 그것들을 둘러메고 간다. 이 때에 거룩한 물건들이 그들의 몸에 닿았다가는 죽는다. 이처럼 회막의 거룩한 물건들을 옮기는 일은 바로 고핫 자손이 맡는다. / ②또는 '성소와 성소에 딸린' 　16) 불 켜는 기름과 분향에 쓰이는 향품과 늘 바치는 곡식제물과 성별하는 데 쓰는 기름을 비롯하여, 온 성막과 그 안에 있는, 거룩하게 구별하여 쓰는 모든 것과, 거기에 딸린 기구들은, 제사장 아론의 아들 엘르아살이 맡는다." 　17) 주님께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하셨다. 　18) "너희는 고핫 가족들로 이루어진 갈래를 레위 사람 가운데서 끊어지지 않게 하여라. 　19) 가장 거룩한 물건에 가까이 갈 때에, 그들이 죽지 않고 살게 하려면, 아론과 그의 아들들이 함께 들어가서, 그들 각자에게 할 일과 그들이 옮길 짐을 하나하나 정해 주어야만 한다. 　20) 그래서 그들이 함부로 성소 안으로 들어갔다가, 순간적으로나마 ③거룩한 물건들을 보게 되어 죽는 일이 없게 하여야 한다." / ③또는 '성소를' 　21) 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. 　22) "너는 게르손 자손도 가족별, 가문별로 인구를 조사하여라. 　23) 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 입대할 수 있는 이들로서, 회막 일을 맡을 수 있는 사람을 모두 등록시켜라. 　24) 게르손 자손의 가족들이 맡아서 해야 할 일과 메어야 할 짐은 다음과 같다. 　25) 그들이 메어서 나를 짐은, 성막에 치는 여러 가지 천과, 회막과 그 덮개와, 그 위에 덮는 돌고래 가죽 덮개와, 회막 어귀에 치는 휘장과, 　26) 뜰의 휘장과, 성막과 제단을 둘러싼 뜰의 문 어귀에 치는 휘장과 거기에 딸린 줄과, 일하는 데 필요한 모든 장비와 거기에 딸린 모든 기구들이다. 그들은 바로 이런 일을 해야 한다. 　27) 게르손 자손이 해야 하는 모든 일, 곧 짐 나르는 일과 그 밖의 일은 모두 아론과 그의 아들들의 지시를 받아서 해야 한다. 그러므로 너희는 게르손 자손이 짊어지고 갈 모든 짐을 그들에게 일러주어야 한다. 　28) 이것들이 게르손 자손 가족이 회막에서 맡은 일이다. 그들은 제사장 아론의 아들 이다말의 감독 아래 이 임무를 수행하여야 한다." 　29) "너는 므라리 자손도 가문별, 가족별로 등록시켜야 한다. 　30) 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 나갈 수 있는 이들로서, 회막 일을 맡을 수 있는 사람을 모두 등록시켜라. 　31) 그들이 회막에서 하여야 할 모든 일은 다음과 같은 것들을 맡아서 옮기는 것이다. 그것들은 곧 성막 널빤지들과 가로다지들과 기둥들과 밑받침들과 　32) 뜰 둘레에 세우는 기둥들과 밑받침들과 말뚝들과 줄들과 거기에 딸린 모든 기구와 그들이 일하는 데 필요한 모든 것이다. 너희는 그들이 옮겨야 할 물품의 목록을 작성하여, 그들에게 맡겨야 한다. 　33) 이 일들은 므라리 자손 가족들이 해야 할 일이다. 그들이 회막에서 맡은 여러 가지 일은 모두 제사장 아론의 아들 이다말의 감독을 받으며 해야 한다." 　34) 모세와 아론과 회중의 원로들은 가문별, 가족별로 고핫 자손을 등록시켰다. 　35) 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 입대할 수 있는 이들로서, 회막 일을 맡을 수 있는 사람을 　36) 가족별로 등록시키니, 이천칠백오십 명이었다. 　37) 이들이 바로 고핫 가족에서 등록된 모든 이들로서, 회막에서 일할 사람이었다. 모세와 아론은, 주님께서 모세를 시켜 명하신 대로, 그들을 등록시켰다. 　38) 게르손 자손 가운데서 가족별, 가문별로 등록된 이들은, 　39) 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 입대할 수 있는 이들로서, 회막 일을 맡을 수 있는 사람이었다. 　40) 가족과 가문을 따라 등록된 이들은 이천육백삼십 명이었다. 　41) 이들이 바로 게르손 자손 가족에서 등록된 모든 이들로서, 회막에서 일할 사람이었다. 모세와 아론은, 주님께서 명하신 대로 그들을 등록시켰다. 　42) 므라리 자손 가족 가운데서 가족과 가문별로 등록된 이들은, 　43) 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 입대할 수 있는 사람으로서, 회막 일을 맡을 수 있는 사람들이었다. 　44) 가족별로 등록된 이들은 삼천이백 명이었다. 　45) 이들이 바로 므라리 자손 가족에서 등록된 사람들로서, 주님께서 모세를 시켜 명하신 대로, 모세와 아론이 등록시킨 이들이었다. 　46) 모세와 아론과 이스라엘 원로들은 모든 레위 사람을 가문과 가족별로 등록시켰다. 　47) 그들은 모두 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 일을 감당할 수 있는 이들로서, 회막의 짐을 운반할 사람이었다. 　48) 등록된 사람은 모두 팔천오백팔십 명이었다. 　49) 주님께서 모세를 시켜 말씀하신 대로, 한 사람 한 사람에게 할 일과 운반할 짐을 맡겼다. 주님께서 모세에게 명하신 대로, 그들을 등록시킨 것이다.

민 4:1-49 　1) 야훼께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하셨다. 　2) "너는 레위 후손들 가운데 크핫 후손들의 인구를 각 갈래와 가문별로 조사하여라. 　3) 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지, 만남의 장막에서 일할 사람으로서 전장에 나갈 만한 사람을 모두 조사하여라. 　4) 크핫 후손들이 만남의 장막에서 맡아볼 일은 더없이 거룩한 것을 보살피는 일이다. 　5) 진지를 옮길 때마다 아론과 그의 아들들은 안으로 들어가서 칸막이 휘장을 내려 증거궤를 싼 다음, 　6) 그 위를 돌고래 가죽 덮개를 덮고 또 그 위에다가 자줏빛 천을 펴고 채를 꿰어라. 　7) 제사 상 위에는 자줏빛 천을 펴고 그 위에 대접, 종지, 술잔, 제주 병들을 얹어놓고 떡도 거르지 말고 차려놓아라. 　8) 그 위에 진홍빛 천을 펴고, 돌고래 가죽 덮개로 덮은 다음 채를 꿰어라. 　9) 또 자줏빛 천으로 불 켜는 등잔대, 등잔, 불집게, 불똥 접시와 거기에 쓰이는 모든 기름 그릇들을 싼 다음, 　10) 그 등잔대와 모든 기구를 돌고래 가죽 덮개로 덮어서 들것에 얹어라. 　11) 그리고 금제단 위에 자줏빛 천을 펴고, 돌고래 가죽 덮개로 덮은 다음에 채를 꿰어라. 　12) 성소에서 예식에 쓰이는 그 밖의 모든 기구를 가져다가 자줏빛 천으로 싸고 돌고래 가죽 덮개를 씌워 들것에 얹어라. 　13) 제단의 그을음을 닦아내고 그 위에 붉은 천을 펴고 　14) 예식에 쓰이는 향로, 집게, 부삽, 쟁반 등 모든 기구와 제단의 모든 기구를 얹고, 돌고래 가죽 덮개로 덮은 다음 채를 꿰어라. 　15) 진을 옮길 때에는 아론과 그의 아들들이 거룩한 것과 그 거룩한 것에 딸린 모든 기구를 다 싼 다음에 크핫의 후손들이 나아가 그것을 든다. 그러나 그 거룩한 것에 몸이 닿았다가는 죽을 것이다. 이것이 크핫의 후손들이 만남의 장막에서 맡은 일이다. 　16) 불 켜는 기름, 향기 좋은 향, 거르지 않고 드리는 곡식예물, 성별하는 기름은 물론 온 성막과 그 안에 있는 모든 것, 거룩한 것과 거기에 딸린 기구들은 아론 사제의 아들 엘르아잘이 맡는다." 　17) 야훼께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하셨다. 　18) "너희는 크핫 갈래를 레위인들 가운데서 끊어지지 않게 하여라. 　19) 그들이 가장 거룩한 것에 가까이 갈 때 죽지 않고 살게 하려면 너희가 이렇게 해주어야 한다. 아론과 그의 아들들이 함께 들어가서 그들이 할 일, 그들이 질 짐을 하나하나 정해 주어야 한다. 　20) 들어가서 거룩한 것이 눈에 스치기만 해도 그들은 죽을 터이니, 그런 일이 없도록 하여라." 　21) 야훼께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. 　22) "너는 게르손 후손도 각 가문과 갈래별로 인구를 조사하여라. 　23) 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 나갈 수 있는 사람을 모두 등록시켜 만남의 장막에서 일하게 하여라. 　24) 게르손의 각 갈래가 맡아서 할 일과 질 짐은 이렇다. 　25) 그들이 질 짐은 성막에 치는 천, 만남의 장막과 그 덮개, 그 위에 씌울 돌고래 가죽 덮개, 만남의 장막 문 휘장, 　26) 울 휘장, 성막과 제단을 둘러싼 울의 문에 칠 천막 줄, 그들이 일하는 데 필요한 모든 기구, 그리고 이런 것을 다루는 데 필요한 모든 것이다. 이들을 운반하는 것이 그들의 할 일이다. 　27) 게르손의 후손은 이런 일을 할 때, 어떤 짐을 지거나 어떤 일을 하거나 아론과 그 아들들의 말을 따라야 한다. 너는 그들이 운반하는 일을 제대로 하는지 감독해야 한다. 　28) 이것이 게르손 후손의 각 갈래가 만남의 장막에서 맡은 일이다. 그들은 이런 일을 아론 사제의 아들 이다말의 지휘 아래 해야 한다. 　29) 너는 므라리 후손을 각 갈래와 가문별로 그 인구를 조사하여라. 　30) 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 나갈 수 있는 사람을 모두 등록시켜 만남의 장막에서 일하게 하여라. 　31) 그들이 만남의 장막에서 할 모든 일은 다음과 같은 것을 맡아서 운반하는 일이다. 그것은 성막 널빤지, 가로다지, 기둥, 밑받침, 　32) 울 주위에 세울 기둥, 밑받침, 말뚝, 줄, 거기에 딸린 모든 기구, 그리고 그들이 일하는 데 필요한 모든 것들이다. 너희는 그들이 운반해야 할 물건을 지명해서 맡겨야 한다. 　33) 이것이 므라리 후손 각 갈래가 만남의 장막에서 맡아 할 모든 일이다. 그들은 이 일을 아론 사제의 아들 이다말의 지휘 아래 해야 한다." 　34) 모세와 아론은 회중의 대표들을 거느리고 크핫 후손을 그 갈래와 가문별로 등록시켰다. 　35) 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 나갈 수 있는 사람을 모두 등록시켜 만남의 장막에서 일하게 하였다. 　36) 그들을 갈래별로 등록시키고 보니 모두 이천칠백오십 명이었다. 　37) 이들이 모두 만남의 장막에서 봉사할 사람으로 크핫 각 갈래에서 등록된 사람들이다. 모세와 아론은 야훼께서 모세를 시켜 말씀하신 대로 이렇게 그들을 등록시켰다. 　38) 게르손의 후손들로서 　39) 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 나갈 수 있는 사람은 그 갈래와 가문별로 모두 등록시켜 만남의 장막에서 일하게 하였다. 　40) 이렇게 각 갈래와 가문별로 등록된 사람은 이천육백삼십 명이었다. 　41) 이들은 모두 게르손 후손의 갈래들로서 만남의 장막에서 일을 맡아 보게 되었다. 모세와 아론은 야훼의 말씀에 따라 그들을 등록시켰다. 　42) 므라리 후손의 갈래로서 　43) 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 나갈 수 있는 사람은 각 갈래와 가문별로 모두 등록시켜 만남의 장막에서 일하게 하였다. 　44) 이렇게 각 갈래별로 등록된 수가 삼천이백 명이었다. 　45) 므라리 후손의 갈래에서 등록된 자는 위와 같다. 모세와 아론은 야훼께서 모세를 시켜 말씀하신 대로 그들을 등록시켰다. 　46) 모세와 아론은 이스라엘의 대표들을 거느리고 레위인들을 그 각 갈래와 가문별로 모두 등록시켰는데, 그 등록된 사람은 　47) 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 봉사와 직책을 감당하러 나갈 수 있는 사람으로서 만남의 장막에서 짐을 운반할 사람들이었다. 　48) 이렇게 등록된 사람이 팔천오백팔십 명이었다. 　49) 그들은 야훼께서 모세를 시켜 말씀하신 대로 그들 각자에게 할 일과 운반할 짐을 맡겼다. 이렇게 모세는 야훼께서 지시하신 대로 그들을 등록시켰다.

민 4:1-49 　1) The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: 　2) “Take a census of the Kohathite branch of the Levites by their clans and families. 　3) Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who come to serve in the work at the tent of meeting. 　4) “This is the work of the Kohathites at the tent of meeting: the care of the most holy things. 　5) When the camp is to move, Aaron and his sons are to go in and take down the shielding curtain and put it over the ark of the covenant law. 　6) Then they are to cover the curtain with a durable leather,* spread a cloth of solid blue over that and put the poles in place. / *Possibly the hides of large aquatic mammals; also in verses 8, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 25 　7) “Over the table of the Presence they are to spread a blue cloth and put on it the plates, dishes and bowls, and the jars for drink offerings; the bread that is continually there is to remain on it. 　8) They are to spread a scarlet cloth over them, cover that with the durable leather and put the poles in place. 　9) “They are to take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand that is for light, together with its lamps, its wick trimmers and trays, and all its jars for the olive oil used to supply it. 　10) Then they are to wrap it and all its accessories in a covering of the durable leather and put it on a carrying frame. 　11) “Over the gold altar they are to spread a blue cloth and cover that with the durable leather and put the poles in place. 　12) “They are to take all the articles used for ministering in the sanctuary, wrap them in a blue cloth, cover that with the durable leather and put them on a carrying frame. 　13) “They are to remove the ashes from the bronze altar and spread a purple cloth over it. 　14) Then they are to place on it all the utensils used for ministering at the altar, including the firepans, meat forks, shovels and sprinkling bowls. Over it they are to spread a covering of the durable leather and put the poles in place. 　15) “After Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy furnishings and all the holy articles, and when the camp is ready to move, only then are the Kohathites to come and do the carrying. But they must not touch the holy things or they will die. The Kohathites are to carry those things that are in the tent of meeting. 　16) “Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest, is to have charge of the oil for the light, the fragrant incense, the regular grain offering and the anointing oil. He is to be in charge of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including its holy furnishings and articles.” 　17) The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 　18) “See that the Kohathite tribal clans are not destroyed from among the Levites. 　19) So that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons are to go into the sanctuary and assign to each man his work and what he is to carry. 　20) But the Kohathites must not go in to look at the holy things, even for a moment, or they will die.” 　21) The Lord said to Moses, 　22) “Take a census also of the Gershonites by their families and clans. 　23) Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who come to serve in the work at the tent of meeting. 　24) “This is the service of the Gershonite clans in their carrying and their other work: 　25) They are to carry the curtains of the tabernacle, that is, the tent of meeting, its covering and its outer covering of durable leather, the curtains for the entrance to the tent of meeting, 　26) the curtains of the courtyard surrounding the tabernacle and altar, the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard, the ropes and all the equipment used in the service of the tent. The Gershonites are to do all that needs to be done with these things. 　27) All their service, whether carrying or doing other work, is to be done under the direction of Aaron and his sons. You shall assign to them as their responsibility all they are to carry. 　28) This is the service of the Gershonite clans at the tent of meeting. Their duties are to be under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron, the priest. 　29) “Count the Merarites by their clans and families. 　30) Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who come to serve in the work at the tent of meeting. 　31) As part of all their service at the tent, they are to carry the frames of the tabernacle, its crossbars, posts and bases, 　32) as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs, ropes, all their equipment and everything related to their use. Assign to each man the specific things he is to carry. 　33) This is the service of the Merarite clans as they work at the tent of meeting under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron, the priest.” 　34) Moses, Aaron and the leaders of the community counted the Kohathites by their clans and families. 　35) All the men from thirty to fifty years of age who came to serve in the work at the tent of meeting, 　36) counted by clans, were 2,750. 　37) This was the total of all those in the Kohathite clans who served at the tent of meeting. Moses and Aaron counted them according to the Lord’s command through Moses. 　38) The Gershonites were counted by their clans and families. 　39) All the men from thirty to fifty years of age who came to serve in the work at the tent of meeting, 　40) counted by their clans and families, were 2,630. 　41) This was the total of those in the Gershonite clans who served at the tent of meeting. Moses and Aaron counted them according to the Lord’s command. 　42) The Merarites were counted by their clans and families. 　43) All the men from thirty to fifty years of age who came to serve in the work at the tent of meeting, 　44) counted by their clans, were 3,200. 　45) This was the total of those in the Merarite clans. Moses and Aaron counted them according to the Lord’s command through Moses. 　46) So Moses, Aaron and the leaders of Israel counted all the Levites by their clans and families. 　47) All the men from thirty to fifty years of age who came to do the work of serving and carrying the tent of meeting 　48) numbered 8,580. 　49) At the Lord’s command through Moses, each was assigned his work and told what to carry. Thus they were counted, as the Lord commanded Moses.
